DARTFORD UPDATE - 7 MORE WEEKS!

Another week seems to have passed in the blink of an eye and we’ve made more solid progress on setting things up here at Dartford. Half a dozen new starters have joined the team here with folks coming in on mopeds, bikes and by train. We’re a three-minute walk from Stone Crossing station so looking forward to more of the team coming in by train and cutting down on cars on the roads around us. Everyone loves the new staff facilities with open space, new lockers, showers and some great coffee on tap.

We have just installed a rapid-rise door for the freezer this week that can open manually and automatically. It is built with sensors that automatically open when incoming forklifts are nearby. 

We have a great chef joining us on the 1^st of June who will be multi-tasking all day; preparing a menu to keep everyone fed 24 hours a day, helping to evaluate samples and new products and also helping to host both demonstration days in our kitchen and development days when we can.

Crossways is starting to feel like home to everyone here already, but we are also working hard to support our teams grafting to keep things running smoothly at Tonbridge while we manage the transition. It feels like a team effort across the whole business and as we are truly 24/7, there are lots of people putting in long shifts at all hours to make the move as seamless as we can. We know there are going to be hiccups on the way but please bear with us on this, we know the end result will be worth the wait!
