An aromatic grassy green herb with bitter notes and an edge of sweetness, pepper clove & menthol.
Used whole, chopped, or crushed in a wide variety of savoury and sweet dishes. The edible leaves are most commonly used raw and are lightly torn, tossed into grain salads and noodle dishes. Layer the herb on toast with creamy spreads, place inside sandwiches, infuse into oils, or blend into sauces such as pesto.
